Adventures in Babysitting

“She thought babysitting was easy money - until she started hanging out with the Andersons.”

On a Friday night in suburban Chicago, high school senior Chris (Elisabeth Shue) is stood up by her boyfriend and ends up babysitting Brad (Keith Coogan) and Sara (Maia Brewton). Then a phone call from her stranded friend Brenda sends them out of the house, and the quiet evening is gone. Chris Columbus, in his first feature, treats a babysitter's one night of responsibility as a job big enough to hold car thieves and a blues club.
