Afonya

Afonya (Leonid Kuravlyov) is a plumber who drinks a lot, flirts a lot and gives little thought to tomorrow, even with his wife gone and his boss putting him on probation. Georgiy Daneliya shot the film in Yaroslavl, among dance halls and cramped flats. At a dance club Afonya barely notices Katya (Yevgeniya Simonova), though she may be the only person who can reach him.
