After Earth

(2013)Directed by M. Night Shyamalan100 min · PG-13Science Fiction, Action, Adventure
“Danger is real, fear is a choice.”

An asteroid storm tears through the ship carrying General Cypher Raige (Will Smith) and his 13-year-old son Kitai (Jaden Smith), and they crash on Earth a thousand years after humanity abandoned it. Cypher is dying in the cockpit, so Kitai has to cross the hostile terrain alone to reach their rescue beacon. M. Night Shyamalan gives the boy one chance to become the soldier he has always wanted to be, and his father's life depends on it.
