After the Rain

Akira Tachibana (Nana Komatsu) is a quiet high school student who has stopped running track and wants a reason to care about anything again. She takes a part-time job at a family restaurant, where she keeps finding reasons to stand near her manager, Masami Kondo (Yo Oizumi), a divorced man of 45. Akira Nagai builds the film around the distance between the two of them, one a girl at the start of her life, the other a man who has already lost track of his.
