“Memory burns.”

At a Turkish resort in the late nineties, eleven-year-old Sophie (Frankie Corio) spends a summer holiday with her father Calum (Paul Mescal), who is about to turn thirty-one. Charlotte Wells builds the trip from camcorder footage and the memories of the adult Sophie (Celia Rowlson-Hall), twenty years on, going back over those days. She is trying to see the man behind the father she knew, and the gaps in the tape are all she has to go on.
