Against the Wall

“39 men died. The story never will.”

In 1971, the inmates of Attica Penitentiary seize the prison to demand better living conditions, and Michael Smith (Kyle MacLachlan) is caught inside the walls with them. John Frankenheimer keeps the camera close to the bars, where Jamaal (Samuel L. Jackson) and Chaka (Clarence Williams III) hold the yard. Smith, a warden with no authority left to use, has to find a way to stay alive.
