Age of Uprising: The Legend of Michael Kohlhaas

In the 16th-century Cévennes, Michael Kohlhaas (Mads Mikkelsen) is a horse dealer with a prosperous farm and a family, including his daughter Lisbeth (Mélusine Mayance). A lord wrongs him, and this pious, upstanding man raises an army to have his rights restored. Arnaud des Pallières follows Kohlhaas through the mountain country, and the last picture is Mikkelsen at the head of his men, his face set and unreadable.
