The film opens inside the Indian Army's covert intelligence unit, where Colonel Abhay Singh (Manoj Bajpayee) trains and answers for Major Jai Bakshi (Sidharth Malhotra), his most capable protege. Then Jai goes rogue, and Abhay is ordered to hunt him down before the unit's secret work reaches the public. Neeraj Pandey sets two men who know each other's methods against one another, and the cost of failing is the army's name and the government's standing.
