Alan Partridge (Steve Coogan) wants one thing: to keep his slot on North Norfolk Digital, now that a new media conglomerate has taken over the station. Then Pat Farrell (Colm Meaney), a DJ just fired by the new owners, takes hostages, and the police pull Alan in to negotiate. Declan Lowney keeps Alan at the centre of the standoff, talking into his headset, while Lynn (Felicity Montagu) waits outside.
