Alexandra's Project

“Not everyone loves surprises”

Steve (Gary Sweet) has a good job, two children and a nice house, and he comes home from work on his birthday to find it dark and empty. Most of the lightbulbs are gone, and a videotape sits waiting for him. Rolf de Heer builds the film around the tape, where his wife Alexandra (Helen Buday) lays out her grievance, and Steve sits in the dim house with no choice but to keep watching.
