Alice

“Revenge is long overdue.”

Alice (Keke Palmer) has spent her whole life on a Georgia plantation, and all she wants is to get out. After a violent clash with the owner, Paul (Jonny Lee Miller), she runs through the woods and comes out onto a paved highway, and then learns the year is 1973. Writer-director Krystin Ver Linden makes her debut with a story that treats freedom as a place Alice has to learn the shape of from scratch.
