What draws a girl through the looking into Wonderland is the same question Lewis Carroll's novel asks of every reader, and this 1949 version answers it with a live Alice (Carol Marsh) walking among stop-motion puppets built by Lou Bunin. Dallas Bower directs a cast of voices that includes Pamela Brown as the Queen of Hearts. Stephen Murray plays Carroll himself, and the puppets move with the small jerking steps of figures made by hand.
