Alice (Kathryn Beaumont) is a restless girl on a golden afternoon who would rather chase questions than sit through a lesson. Following a rabbit down a burrow, she lands in Wonderland, a place of talking flowers and odd creatures, ruled by the Queen of Hearts. Clyde Geronimi and Wilfred Jackson fill it with Ed Wynn's Mad Hatter and Sterling Holloway's grinning Cheshire Cat, who treat Alice as a guest they cannot quite make sense of.
