An escape pod drops onto Fiorina 161, a prison planet, and what comes out of the wreck is not only Ripley (Sigourney Weaver). Newt and Hicks died in the crash, and an alien has followed her down. David Fincher puts her among the inmates and the doctor Clemens (Charles Dance), where Dillon (Charles S. Dutton) leads the prisoners and no one is allowed a weapon.
