“Earth just got its final warning!”

At the South Pole, a research team has dug up evidence of extraterrestrial life beneath the ice. Government agents are sent in, and with them comes Julian Rome (James Spader), a specialist called in to deal with the find, working beside Dr. Kate Brecher (Janine Eser). Ron Krauss keeps the team shut inside the station, where the cold presses at the walls and the discovery is the only thing anyone can afford to get wrong.
