Alive

“The triumph of the human spirit.”

Nando Parrado (Ethan Hawke) is a university student on a charter flight across the Andes with his rugby team in 1972, when the plane goes down in the mountains. Frank Marshall follows the survivors as they wait on meager rations in the freezing cold, with Roberto Canessa (Josh Hamilton) and the others trying to find a way to stay alive. Hawke stands in the snow at the edge of the crashed fuselage, the white peaks closing in on every side.
