All About Eve

(1950)Directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz139 min · PGDrama
“It's all about women... and their men!”

Nobody at the stage door knows quite what to make of Eve Harrington (Anne Baxter), a quiet young woman who has seen every performance of the great Margo Channing (Bette Davis) and is soon taken into her dressing room. Joseph L. Mankiewicz puts Margo's circle around her, including the critic Addison DeWitt (George Sanders). Margo sits at her mirror, the greasepaint and the dressing room lights laid out around her, as Eve looks on from the doorway.
