All Day and a Night

“Born. Gangster. Repeat.”

Jah (Ashton Sanders) is a young man serving a life sentence in prison, going back over the people and the neighborhood that brought him there. His father JD (Jeffrey Wright) is part of that story, and so is a friend, TQ (Isaiah John), who runs beside him. Joe Robert Cole writes and directs it, cutting between the cell and the years before with the plain weight of a ledger being read aloud.
