Ralph (Karl Malden) and Annabell Willart (Angela Lansbury) are already in the middle of another fight when their son Berry-Berry (Warren Beatty) starts a new affair, this time with an older woman, Echo O'Brien (Eva Marie Saint). His parents have argued about him for years, and now they have fresh reason. John Frankenheimer directed, and Clinton (Brandon De Wilde) is the one left watching, with a marriage coming apart in front of him.
