“The final act of the world's greatest playwright”

On June 29th, 1613, the Globe Theater burns to ashes, and William Shakespeare (Kenneth Branagh) stops writing and goes home to his hometown after two decades in London. His wife Anne (Judi Dench) and daughters Judith and Susanna did not expect him to stay for good. Branagh directs, with Ian McKellen as the Earl of Southampton, and the film settles on Shakespeare standing at the door of a house that has gone on without him.
