“A film about off-side, penetrating deeply and missed chances”

In a Dutch town in 1997, seven young men who have played soccer together since boyhood find the team no longer holds them the way it used to. Hero (Antonie Kamerling) and Bram (Danny de Munk) are among them, facing pregnant girlfriends, career plans, and parents who still run their lives. Jean van de Velde takes the script he co-wrote with Mischa Alexander and keeps the comedy plain and close to the ground.
