“How much does Heaven Allow a Woman in Love?”

Cary Scott (Jane Wyman) is a well-off widow in a comfortable town, with grown children and a country club circle that fills her calendar. Then she falls for Ron Kirby (Rock Hudson), her much younger gardener, and the people around her start passing judgment.
