All the Way

“Politics is war.”

Lyndon B. Johnson (Bryan Cranston) is sworn in as president hours after Kennedy's assassination and has less than a year to win an election of his own. He also has a civil rights bill to push through a Senate led by his old mentor, Richard Russell (Frank Langella), while Martin Luther King, Jr. (Anthony Mackie) presses him from outside. Jay Roach, working from Robert Schenkkan's stage play, keeps the film in rooms, on phone lines and in the corridors of power.
