All Together Now

“When you're about to lose everything, a little hope can go a long way.”

Every morning Amber Appleton (Auliʻi Cravalho) shows up at school cheerful and talented, and no one around her knows where she goes at night. She sleeps on a school bus with her mother Becky (Justina Machado), and she has told nobody. Brett Haley follows her through a run of bad luck, and the film stays close to the bus, its cracked seats and taped-up windows.
