All We Had

Rita Carmichael (Katie Holmes) wants one thing more than any other, a steady life for her teenage daughter, Ruthie (Stefania LaVie Owen), after years of moving from town to town. Katie Holmes, in her first film as director, follows the two as Rita works to keep them afloat. Rita sits beside Ruthie, the road behind them, the bills and the boyfriends and the bad luck all still within reach.
