Alone in the Dark

“When the lights go out, the terror begins.”

Dan Potter (Dwight Schultz) takes a job at a private mental hospital and wants only to do right by his patients and his family. His patients are four men who hold a grudge against him: Frank Hawkes (Jack Palance), Byron "Preacher" Sutcliff (Martin Landau), Ronald "Fatty" Elster (Erland van Lidth) and one more. When a blackout shuts the hospital's locks, they leave, and Jack Sholder follows them out toward the Potter house, where the lights are out too.
