Along Came Jones

In a small Western town, word gets around that a notorious gunman is passing through, and the locals take one look at Melody Jones (Gary Cooper) and decide he must be the man. Melody is an easy-going cowboy who wants no part of it and figures the sensible thing is to ride out, until he meets Cherry de Longpre (Loretta Young). Stuart Heisler keeps the mistaken-identity comedy light and unhurried, giving Cooper's drawl plenty of room.
