“Leaders are born from survival”

A young hunter named Keda (Kodi Smit-McPhee) wakes alone after a bison hunt goes wrong, cut off from his tribe and his father Tau (Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson), with the long walk home ahead of him. Somewhere on that route he comes across an injured wolf, and the two have little reason to trust each other. Albert Hughes sets the story in the last ice age and keeps the camera on the cold, open ground the pair have to cross.
