Always Shine

Big Sur is the destination for a weekend away, a trip two actresses take to patch up a friendship that has gone thin. Anna (Mackenzie Davis) and Beth (Caitlin FitzGerald) are in the same line of work, and Sophia Takal puts them alone together, far from the auditions and the people who decide which of them gets cast. The old jealousies come up between them in small remarks, and the friendship starts to feel less certain than either had admitted.
