Amelia

Amelia Earhart (Hilary Swank) is the American pilot whose Atlantic crossing made her famous, and she spends the years after it chasing a longer flight. Mira Nair follows her through her marriage to the publisher George Putnam (Richard Gere) and her friendship with Gene Vidal (Ewan McGregor). In 1937 she sets out with the navigator Fred Noonan (Christopher Eccleston) to fly around the world, over the Pacific, with no margin for error.
