“She’ll change your life.”

Amélie Poulain (Audrey Tautou) is a shy waitress in a Montmartre café who decides to slip into the lives of the people around her, nudging them toward small happinesses. She reunites a man with his childhood treasures and plays matchmaker for a lonely grocer, yet keeps herself locked away. Jeunet fills the film with primary colors and whimsy, with objects that seem alive and a city that bends to kindness.
