America: The Motion Picture

“This summer they're redrawing history.”

George Washington (Channing Tatum) is a chainsaw-wielding bruiser who treats the American Revolution as a problem to be solved with his hands. He is soon joined by Samuel Adams (Jason Mantzoukas), a beer-loving friend, and Thomas Edison (Olivia Munn) turns up in 1776 too, because director Matt Thompson ignores the calendar. The film treats history as a pile of names and dates to be thrown at the screen and rearranged as loudly as possible.
