“The family that slays together stays together.”

Engine trouble forces a small plane down on a remote island, and six friends on a weekend getaway go looking for shelter. They find Ma (Yvonne De Carlo) and Pa (Rod Steiger), who live in the island's backwoods with their grown children and welcome the strangers inside. John Hough sets the house against the woods, and Pa fills the doorway, his hand on the frame.
