“It's not a felony if you're doing it for the good guys.”

Barry Seal (Tom Cruise) is a TWA pilot in the 1980s, bored with commercial routes and good at flying low and fast. A CIA agent who calls himself Monty Schafer (Domhnall Gleeson) offers him work that pays far more than any airline, and Doug Liman keeps the story moving at the speed of Barry's own talk. The money gets so large that his wife, Lucy (Sarah Wright), has nowhere left to put it.
