In a small rural Georgia town, Sheriff Ben Watts (Bruce Willis) is an ex-NYPD officer who has traded the city for a quieter badge. His town gets anything but quiet when Charles Rutledge (Timothy V. Murphy) and his gang of thieves take a wealthy doctor hostage. Edward Drake keeps the standoff tight, and Watts has to hold the line while his past and the job press in on him.
