America's Sweethearts

“Hollywood's hottest couple just split up. It'll take more than special effects to reunite them.”

Lee Phillips (Billy Crystal) is a studio publicist whose job is keeping a fading movie couple looking happy, and his hardest client is about to separate in public. Eddie Thomas (John Cusack) and Gwen Harrison (Catherine Zeta-Jones) split ugly, and the only print of their new film has been kidnapped by the director. Joe Roth sets it in the press circus around the film, and Kiki ends up standing between two people who still can't stop looking at each other.
