Amour

Georges (Jean-Louis Trintignant) and Anne (Emmanuelle Riva) are retired music teachers in their eighties, and all they want is to go on living in their Paris apartment the way they always have. Then Anne has a stroke at the breakfast table, and the marriage has to hold up under her illness and his care of her, which it was never built to carry. Michael Haneke stays inside the apartment and does not look away.
