Amundsen

“Not the story of a hero”

Roald Amundsen (Pål Sverre Hagen) sets out to be the first man to reach the South Pole, and he gives the work everything he has. Espen Sandberg follows him from that 1911 expedition to the later flights over the Arctic, with his brother Leon (Christian Rubeck) and Fridtjof Nansen (Trond Espen Seim) close to the effort. Hagen stands in the white emptiness, a small dark figure with nothing around him but ice.
