An American in Rome

(1954)Directed by Steno85 minComedy

Nando Moriconi (Alberto Sordi) is a young man in Rome who wants to be American in every way he can manage. Steno follows him through a satire of Americanization that Italy later counted among the films that shaped its sense of itself. His parents (Anita Durante, Giulio Calì) despair, and Elvira (Maria Pia Casilio) waits on the other side of his fantasy.
