An American Rhapsody

“Sometimes you have to lose your way to find your home.”

In Communist Hungary, a family escapes to the United States and leaves their baby daughter behind. Six years later she is brought over to join them, and Suzanne (Scarlett Johansson), now a teenager in America, struggles to fit into a household that feels like strangers'. Éva Gárdos, drawing on her own life, follows Suzanne back to Budapest, where she goes looking for who she is.
