An Evening of Edgar Allan Poe

“A diabolical quartet of HORRIFYING Evil!”

Vincent Price (Narrator) stands before the camera and tells four of Poe's stories aloud: "The Tell-Tale Heart," "The Sphinx," "The Cask of Amontillado," and "The Pit and the Pendulum." Kenneth Johnson directed this 1970 television production, with a score by Les Baxter. What stays with you is Price alone in the frame, his voice rising and falling as the tales run on.
