An Impossible Love

In 1958, Rachel (Virginie Efira) works in an office and meets Philippe (Niels Schneider), a wealthy man who stays with her and still keeps his distance. Catherine Corsini follows the two of them across decades, through the birth of their daughter Chantal and the years of raising her. Rachel gives Chantal everything she has, while Philippe comes and goes on his own terms.
