Anand

In a Bombay hospital, Dr. Bhaskar Bannerjee (Amitabh Bachchan) spends his days among poor patients and has grown tired of watching them suffer. Then comes Anand Saigal (Rajesh Khanna), who has cancer and only a short time left, and who sets out to spend it talking to strangers, making friends and laughing with anyone near him. Hrishikesh Mukherjee builds the story around the plain question of how a person lives when the time is counted.
