Angel on My Shoulder
“With an angel on his shoulder...and the devil in his heart!”
Eddie Kagle (Paul Muni), a gangster who has just died, wants one thing, and that is a chance to get back at the man who put him down. The Devil, who goes by Nick (Claude Rains), offers him the return trip, but Eddie has to come back as the respected Judge Fredrick Parker, a man who looks exactly like him. Archie Mayo has Nick follow along, a smiling figure in a dark suit at Eddie's elbow, close enough to whisper.
