Angel's Egg

“Under a sky where clouds make sound as they move.”

A girl carries a large egg through the ruins of a strange city, holding it in both arms and never setting it down, and nobody says what is inside. She meets a boy who is looking for a bird he saw in a dream, and the two nameless figures begin to walk the streets together. Mamoru Oshii and the artist Yoshitaka Amano leave her small and pale against the ruined city, the egg still in her arms.
