Angels of the Universe

The film begins in Iceland, with Páll (Ingvar E. Sigurðsson), a young man whose mind is coming apart after a loss he never gets over. In the asylum he meets Óli (Baltasar Kormákur), Viktor (Björn Jörundur Friðbjörnsson) and Pétur (Hilmir Snær Guðnason), among them a man who signed cheques for Adolf Hitler and one writing songs for the Beatles. Fridrik Thor Fridriksson, adapting Einar Már Guðmundsson's novel, lets Páll's decline play out slowly, without hurry.
