Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging

“Georgia Nicolson's not going mental, but her life is.”

Georgia Nicolson (Georgia Groome) is fourteen, and her life is a school beret, a nosey set of parents and a three-year-old sister who never leaves her alone. She wants to be blonde, to have a smaller nose and, above all, a boyfriend, and she writes down every hope and humiliation in her journal. Gurinder Chadha builds the film around those diary entries, so we get Georgia's version of events, exactly as she tells it.
