“The maddest comics of them all!”

A valuable painting has vanished from a Long Island party, and nobody at the table can say who took it. The guest of honor is Captain Jeffrey T. Spaulding (Groucho Marx), just back from Africa, and Victor Heerman puts him on the case with his secretary Horatio Jamison (Zeppo Marx). Signor Emanuel Ravelli (Chico Marx) and The Professor (Harpo Marx) circle the estate, and Mrs. Rittenhouse's lavish welcome keeps going around them.
