In Japan in 2022, two anime series are heading for the same Saturday-evening slot. Hitomi Saito (Riho Yoshioka) has worked her way up for years and is finally set to direct a series of her own. Opposite her is Chiharu Ouji (Tomoya Nakamura), a brilliant director coming back after nearly a decade away, and Kohei Yoshino follows both sides as each stakes a career on being the one that gets watched.
