Anne Shirley (Anne Shirley) is an orphan who talks without stopping, sent to a farm that asked for a boy. Matthew Cuthbert (O. P. Heggie) and his sister Marilla (Helen Westley) had wanted someone to help with the farm work, but they keep her anyway, and she wins over the villagers too. George Nichols Jr. directed this 1934 adaptation of Lucy Maud Montgomery's novel, and it became one of RKO's biggest hits that year.
